Speaker 1:

Hey, loves, welcome to another episode of Love Our Talks, where we dive into all things. Juicy, I'm your host, kayla, and today I'm coming at you with another intriguing episode. We're diving into a topic that's been buzzing around and things that we talk about. Right, and what we want to know is can men go from guarded to open-hearted, whether they can truly show up in a relationship early on with their whole heart and be vulnerable? Now, I know what some of y'all are thinking, but trust me, it's not just a fairy tale, it's real, it's possible. Okay, it's possible, and I'm here to break it down for you. So let's go ahead and jump on in. So, queens, let's talk about helping your man open up. Okay, we want to. Like I said, we want to know can men be vulnerable early on? And I believe absolutely they can. But let's be real.

Speaker 1:

Vulnerability isn't always easy for anyone, let alone our brothers out here. See, society has often taught men to be tough, you know, to hold it in and to show no weakness. But, ladies, believe me when I say this men can learn to be vulnerable and open up their hearts. It just takes the right environment, the right person and a whole lot of trust. Now you have to create a safe space In doing so.

Speaker 1:

Let's talk about that. First off, it has to be a place where they feel heard, okay, respected and valued. This means active listening without judgment. When he shares something personal, acknowledge it and appreciate his openness. It's about building that emotional safety net together. When he talks, truly, truly listen, put your phones down and make eye contact and show him that you're engaged, because communication is key. Y'all Just saying Y'all don't know that which you should. Communication is key.

Speaker 1:

Encourage your man to share his thoughts and his feelings. Start with you know, like something small and gradually move to like deeper conversations. It's like building a muscle right the more you work on it, you know, the stronger it gets. You want to create that atmosphere where he feels he can share anything without the fear of judgment. Also, validate his feelings. Validate his feelings Because this just you know. You want to do things like, say things to him like look, I can see why you feel that way and you know. Be consistently present and supportive. Encourage his openness without pressure and respect his boundaries, even if he's not ready yet. So when he does open up, just thank him and express the appreciation for his honesty. A simple you know, babe, you know that took a lot of courage to share. That can work wonders. That took a lot of courage to share, that can work wonders.

Speaker 1:

See, like I said, creating a safe space is about fostering trust and making him feel secure in expressing his true self, and sometimes all a brother needs is a safe space to vent. Okay, and ladies, sometimes you have to lead by example. Yes, we do, okay, and showing our vulnerability can encourage your partner to do the same. Share your own feelings and experiences openly, and when he sees you're being authentic and vulnerable, he's more likely to feel comfortable in doing the same. Also, be patient. Practice that. Practice being patient. And you know what they say patience is a virtue.

Speaker 1:

Understand that vulnerability does take time because, guess what? Rome wasn't built in a day. Y'all know that. And neither is trusting open hearted a relationship. You want to be patient and give him the time he needs to open up. And neither is trusting open-hearted relationship. You want to be patient and give him the time he needs to open up. Okay, it's a journey, not a sprint. Okay, boo, Okay.

Speaker 1:

Try to encourage him to reflect on his own emotions and past experiences. You know, think about his past. You know things that he's done, because sometimes our past you know past can create barriers to vulnerability. We put up that wall, we put up that block and by understanding himself better and he can begin to break down those walls. Encourage him to set personal growth goals, like being more open about his feelings and expressing his needs more clearly. Celebrate his progress again, like I said, no matter how small it is, and remind him that growth is a continuous journey and we can do this together. At the end of the day, let him know that you're there to support his journey and his self-discovery. Okay, and by fostering an environment that promotes reflection and personal development, you're helping him become more open and emotionally available, which can lead to a stronger and more intimate relationship, and I know that's what you guys want, right?

Speaker 1:

Lastly, remind him and yourself that vulnerability is a strength, it's not a weakness. It takes courage to open up and share your heart with anybody, especially the opposite sex. Celebrate those moments of vulnerability and victories in your relationship. Ladies, it is possible, it is for men to show up with their whole heart early on in a relationship. You just got to create the right environment. Encourage him. Encourage that open communication and being patient with him. Yes, so let's build our men up and show them that they can trust us with their hearts. Okay, and remember, love is a beautiful journey and it's even more beautiful when we walk it with our hearts wide open and with the ones we love.
