They're Not Supporters, They're Spectators!

Not everyone watching your journey is doing so from a place of support – some are spectators collecting data on your moves without celebrating your wins. The silence from those closest to you during successful times can be more telling than any words they might say during your struggles.

• Recognizing the difference between true supporters and silent spectators
• Understanding that some people follow you to gain access to your next moves, not to cheer you on
• Acknowledging that the favor on your life is undeniable, drawing attention even from those who don't support you
• Realizing your growth and success will naturally irritate those who have given up on themselves
• Taking inventory of relationships to identify who celebrates publicly but criticizes privately
• Setting boundaries by letting spectators watch "from beyond the gate"

Hey, hey, hey, loves, Welcome, welcome back to another episode of Love, our Talks, the podcast, where we keep it raw, real and it's always rooted in love, dating relationships, wellness and entertainment. See, today's episode is they're not supporters, they're spectators. Okay, they're not supporters, they're spectators.

Do you ever notice how some people are so quiet, like you can hear crickets when you're winning, like was when is your winning season? But when you're struggling, they got plenty to say. So we gonna talk about it today. We gonna get right on into it. You know, I don't think people realize. You know that silence can be loud like louder than any congratulations. You never got louder than the likes that don't show up, louder than the support you don't receive from people closest to you.

So here's what I've learned there are people who follow you, but not because they love your growth. They follow you because they want access to your next moves. They're not fans, they're spectators. They're not clapping Because what they're doing is they're collecting data and what you do. What do you do when it's your own circle, like your own family, your friends like, what do you do? Because you got those friends like hey, girl, oh hey, sis, hey. What do you do? Because you got those friends like hey girl, oh hey, sis, hey, what do you do? You know they won't like your posts, but they'll watch it 12 times. They won't share your business, but they'll study your every word, your every move, probably even go check out your website, but still won't buy nothing. Mm-hmm, you know, y'all know what I'm talking about, about nothing. You know, y'all know what I'm talking about. And what's so crazy is you start to ask yourself if you don't like me, why are you still following me, like for real, what's up? But the truth is the favor on your life. It is undeniable because it's allowed. Even your enemies don't want to miss what God is doing with you.

So let me tell y'all a true story. Y'all know I got to break it down like give you a truth moment. And you know, to this very day, I got someone that I grew up with who watches every story that I post. I mean the second. I upload it Like boom, there they are, hey, binoculars on, got them glasses on, they watching what you doing, okay, but they never like nothing. They don't comment, they don't repost it, they don't say a man or any of those things.

And so I used to think to myself you know what, maybe I should just block this person. I should just block them. I really did. I thought that I says, why are you here, like for real? But then you know, god had to check me and he said, um, look, I got a watch. And I said, okay, okay, because, baby, look, I want you to see how God is using me, I want you to witness the glow up.

And you know, the thing is, I'm not boasting or anything like that, because I'm real. I got things going on in my life just like the next person. Sometimes you got good and sometimes you don't. Okay, I'm just over here pretty much. Look when I tell y'all I demanding my God-given business, yeah, like staying in my lane, focus on what God gave me, not worried about who's watching, not looking left and right what you're doing, liking, hearting, whatever, no-transcript. So, because the truth is, your glow is going to irritate folks. Your growth, oh yeah, it's going to offend the people who gave up on themselves, and your blessings, babe. It's going to stir the people who gave up on themselves and your blessings, babe. It's going to stir the envy in people who feel stuck. And I'm going to say this See, you got to know this, some people ain't watching to support, they're watching to study.

Okay, they're taking notes, not to clap for you, but to compete with you. They're not in love with your potential, they're obsessed with your position. And here's the kicker Some folks only followed you to see if they can stop you, not to cheer for you, but to try to strategize. So let me ask you something who in your circle is quiet right now, when is your winning season? Who's watching but never supports. And who claps in public but will criticize you in private?

I want you to take inventory of your life right now, because sometimes your peace requires releasing access. Okay, not bitterness, but let them watch, but from outside that gate. You got to be on outside the gate, beyond the gate, okay, okay. So what I have learned, you know, the hard way is not everyone is supposed to clap. Some people are just there to observe and plot, and when they can't sit at your table they'll try to flip it over. But your job, your job, is to stay seated, stay fed and stay focused and favored. And let me leave you with this People will celebrate you until they realize you surpassed the version of you they were comfortable with. And once your growth makes them insecure, they'll try to shrink your light to fit their comfort. But, baby, you got to know that your light, it ain't dimming anytime soon.
