Then Miami called. The plot twist arrived at Art Basel, where I was booked to walk a fashion show and host another. As a model and actress, stepping onto those red carpets felt like alignment meeting preparation. I share what that taught me about multi-hyphenate growth: how love, creativity, and ambition can coexist without canceling each other out. Hey, hey, hey, loves. Welcome, welcome back to another episode of Love Our Talks. I am your host, Kay Love, the certified matchmaker and love advisor. And listen, before we do anything and go any further, I need you to do me a favor right now. Go ahead and grab your wine, your coffee, your tea, your smoothie, your drink of choice, uh-huh, and get comfortable because we're about to get right on into it, okay? No time to waste, like no time at all. Now, listen, I know, I know, I know. Look, y'all probably like, where is K Love? Where you been, sis? Right? You know, your girl was been has been missing in action for a minute, I know. And I just owe y'all an explanation because I missed y'all so much. Yes, I really, I really miss all of this. So I figured, let me go ahead and tell y'all what your girl has been up to. Let me catch you up. You know, I kind of disappeared, I believe, like around October-ish, right? And that's because when October hits, I'm already in, I'm getting into that full birthday prep mode. Okay, yes. Full birthday prep mode because my birthday is the next month. It's in November. And I celebrate the whole entire month. And look, y'all, my husband already knows the assignment because he's amazing like that, right? So my birthday is November 8th, and baby, that kicked off everything. And I planned this beautiful birthday dinner with the girls, and I sent out the flyers, did all the prep and everything like that, because y'all know it takes time, energy, and intention to bring things together the way I like them. Not that my hubby can't do that, but I like to do these things myself for myself as well. Okay, because I can have all the conversations with my girls, we can kiki a little bit while we're planning and letting them know what's happening. I love all of that. I'm a girl's girl. I keep telling y'all, I'm a girl's girl. So, anyway, the dinner was amazing. Um, it was family, it was friends, just loved ones. And of course, like I said, it was all girls because, like I said, I just love my girl time. Now, let me tell you the part that pretty much almost took me out, y'all. So hubby decides to surprise me with one of my favorite singers, okay? Um, he's like a brother to me and to us because we see him all the time. We hang out a lot, and I just love him. He has an amazing voice. So he popped up. I'm like, um, sir, who are you? What are you doing here? And it was so funny, and it was, I was surprised. Like, usually my husband can't surprise me with a lot of different things, but this one right here, yeah. I should have known. I should have known. So he's serenading us at the table. It was about a good 15 of us. Um, we had roses all around the room, balloons. It was just decked out, and it was so beautiful inside. We had the fireplace light uh thing going. And when I tell you, the um the host, not the host, but the manager of the venue, she was such amazing. She she is such a sweetheart. And when I tell you the food was amazing, everybody definitely gave compliments for the food. The energy was beautiful, and I couldn't have asked for more. Period. I could have asked for more. After the dinner, we headed on over to karaoke night because you know what? We had to sing the night away. And that we did. We shut the place down. We were literally like the last ones at one o'clock in the morning, still singing with the mic in hand. They're like, ma'am, knock, knock, knock, ma'am, you got to get up out of this room. So, I mean, that was a lot of fun, you know. And then the following week, we hopped on a plane, baby, because you know what time it is. We headed to our second home, Miami. And let me tell you, Miami is always a vibe. And we definitely lived our best lives in Miami, like we do all the time. You know, the itinerary, hubby already planned that. That's what he does. He plans itineraries, he plans the trip stuff. So um, that was packed from the moment we landed to the time we left. I mean, we didn't have any downtime. I mean, no. We it was like one event, one thing to another, and run in the room, change clothes, get back out for the dinner or late night stuff. Yeah. So we had another couple join us for the latter part of the trip. And I was like, are we wearing them out? Like, we're doing too much. And they were like, No, we here for it. We're here for all of it. So when I tell you, look, what happens in Miami stays in Miami. Now, you know, while I was there, I actually got books for um Art Basel. So if you know anything about Art Basel, it is one of the biggest art events in the world that does take place in Miami. And so I really wanted to be a part of this. And sure enough, your girl got booked to walk in a fashion show there because I am a model and an actress. If you guys don't know that about me, but now you know. So I got booked to walk in um one of the shows. I got also booked to do uh model hosting for another show that was there, and when I tell you, it was amazing hitting the red carpet. I mean, look, all of that happens, and it was so amazing. Um, so after my birthday, like I said, I got books, we came on back, I had to go back again, and that was in December, so December 4th. I was there for like six days, getting, you know, having fun there with the events um and all that with Art Basel. So look, your girl was living, celebrating, and creating and growing. And when I tell you, God has been so amazing to me, He has truly been beyond amazing. And my husband has been so supportive beyond words through it all. And I couldn't ask for a better partner, a better hubby in my life. But now we're back, okay? And we're back to getting to the grind of everything, and I'm ready to dive into you know, conversations that are like matters of the heart, conversations that are needed, the ones that make you pause and reflect and grow. Because if there's one thing about me, I'm always going to learn something. I'm gonna learn um something about myself, and I'm gonna learn something about other people. And like I said, I'm always growing. And I refuse, okay, to stay stagnant and I refuse to stay the same. So I'm just like, I'm so happy to be back on this mic, to be back talking to you guys, and let's get it back going. I appreciate all of you guys that have listened to all my podcasts that has that have supported me through these years, and that has been consistent. I know I need to do better, but please stay stick with me as your girl is steady growing and we're learning. Okay, so let's get back to these conversations, loves, and because I'm just ready to talk your ear off, okay? So, like I said, we're gonna dive into our next episode.
